Couples Therapy

For couples at any stage — early ruptures, longstanding patterns, major transitions, or the slow drift that can happen in even strong relationships.

Couples therapy isn't only for relationships in crisis. Many couples come in because something has quietly shifted — they're not fighting, but they're not connecting either. Or they're in a transition that's putting real pressure on the relationship: a new baby, a job loss, a health diagnosis, children leaving home, retirement.

Avi uses Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) as a primary framework for couples work. EFT is one of the most rigorously researched approaches in the field — it focuses on the emotional bond between partners and the cycles of interaction that reinforce disconnection. The goal isn't to manage conflict more politely. It's to understand what's actually happening between you, and to build something more secure and honest from there.

Maya also works with couples using an integrative approach grounded in attachment and relational theory.
